We have ourselves a nice slate of games for the National Football League on Sunday. We have reached week 13, and we have this week and four to go until the postseason gets started. There are some great divisional races going on, along with some awesome wildcard runs. Let’s take a look at the slate for Week 13 and bet your action at betonline:
New York Jets at New York Giants
The Jets and Giants should be a great game on Sunday afternoon. Both these teams desperately need to find a way to win this game. The Jets are 6-5, and holding on strong with many other teams for an AFC wildcard spot. The Giants are 5-6, and tied with Washington atop the NFC East. The Jets won last week, while the Giants have dropped two straight games. Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr should have a field day with Derrelle Revis out for the Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick, the quarterback of the Jets should be in for plenty of yards against a poor Giants defense. With the loss of Revis, the bet here is the New York Giants +2 over the New York Jets.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It’s a huge NFC South game in Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will get together. The Falcons are 6-5, and tied with Seattle for the second wildcard in the NFC. Atlanta has dropped four straight games overall. For Tampa Bay, they are one of the many teams a game back, with a 5-6 record. The Buccaneers took a frustrating loss last week to Indianapolis to drop them back. Jameis Winston and Matt Ryan should have the makings of a fun game, but the Buccaneers defense is the better unit. The bet for this game is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -2 over the Atlanta Falcons.
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
Another battle in the NFC South features the Carolina Panthers at the New Orleans Saints. Carolina is the lone unbeaten team in the NFC with an 11-0 record. The Panthers are coming off the thrashing over Dallas on Thanksgiving Day. The Panthers have outscored their opponents by more than 10 points per game on average this season. For New Orleans, at 4-7, they are in trouble. There are 4 teams with that record in the NFC. Drew Brees is primed for a big game, but is Carolina the team he will do it against? At home, I’ll take my chances and bet on the Saints to win this game. The bet here is the New Orleans Saints +7.5.
Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots
Chip Kelly is on his last leg as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. The funny part is, the Eagles are just a game out of first place in the NFC East. Philadelphia is 4-7, while New York and Washington are 5-6. The Eagles will look to get back on track this week in Foxboro, when they take on the New England Patriots. The Eagles look to have quarterback Sam Bradford back. Philadelphia has lost all three games without Bradford. For the Patriots, at 10-1, they are coming off their lone loss of the season, at Denver last week. Look for Tom Brady and company to bounce back strong in this one. The New England Patriots -10 over the Philadelphia Eagles is the pick to click here.
Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Sunday Night Football game for Week 13 features a pair of 6-5 teams getting together at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The Indianapolis Colts are tied with the Houston Texans atop the AFC South. The Colts have won three straight games, all without Andrew Luck. For Pittsburgh, they are tied with several other teams for the wildcard spot in the AFC. The Steelers are coming off their loss to the Seahawks last week. With the return of Ben Roethlisberger, this game favors the Steelers. No Le’Veon Bell, but DeAngelo Williams has stepped up large for Pittsburgh. The bet here is the Pittsburgh Steelers -7 over the Indianapolis Colts.
